At the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, we hope you’ll participate in Giving Tuesday this year by supporting us and the research we do to help keep the world a safer place. Giving Tuesday is a global event established in 2012 to encourage people to give back to causes that are important to them.
Your tax-deductible donation to the Center, a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit, helps us work to reduce nuclear threats. Since 1980, we have worked to educate Members of Congress, their staffs, members of the media and the general public about issues related to nuclear weapons, Pentagon spending, missile defense, security spending, non-proliferation, biological and chemical weapons, nuclear terrorism and more.
We produce fact sheets to distribute to Members of Congress and the general public, connect our experts to members of the press, hold educational events for key decision-makers, and more. We also produce a blog that highlights developments in nuclear and non-proliferation policy; reminds readers of the historical context of significant events; and works to inject reason and fact into national security debates. This year, we launched a new podcast, Nukes of Hazard, to engage the public in important policy discussions.
Your donation helps ensure these Congressional and public outreach programs are not only maintained, but strengthened. Your donation helps ensure decision-makers have all the information they need when they address key national security issues.
We know you have choices when you consider your charitable donations, and we thank you for considering us.
