I wanted to be sure you saw some of our recent analysis on the historic agreement to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran:
The Real Facts on the Iran Nuclear Deal: debunks 10 claims being offered in criticism of the final deal, including the arms embargo, important timelines of the agreement, and the inspections and verification regime.
Understanding the Iran Deal: a 2-page factsheet of the major provisions in the final agreement, including how the deal blocks all pathways to a bomb, sanctions relief, enforcement of the deal, as well as an assessment of the alternatives.
Our experts are available to offer further analysis and to answer any questions you may have. Please contact Amanda Waldron for media inquiries and bookings.
Angela Canterbury, Executive Director: Canterbury leads the education, advocacy, and political efforts of the organizations. She has been working closely with the administration, a large diverse coalition supporting diplomacy, as well as with critical members of Congress and their staff to ensure they are informed about the negotiations. She has deep experience influencing federal policy and has testified several times before Congress.
Former Senator Byron Dorgan, National Advisory Board, Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation: Former senior senator from North Dakota, member of the Appropriations, Energy, and Commerce Committees.
Lt. General Robert Gard (US Army-Ret.), Board Chair, Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation: Lt. General Robert G. Gard, Jr., is a 31-year veteran of the U.S. Army and served in combat in Korea and Vietnam and as executive assistant to two secretaries of defense.
Colonel Richard Klass (USAF-Ret.), Vice Chair, Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation: Klass is a decorated colonel formerly serving in the U.S. Air Force. He flew over 200 combat missions in Vietnam and served in the Executive Office of the President as a White House Fellow.
Ed Levine, Board Member, Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation: Levine served more than 14 years as a senior professional staff member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and over 20 years with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. He has co-authored all of the SSCI’s analyses on the implementation of numerous multiple nuclear weapons agreements.
Jim Walsh, Board Member, Council for a Livable World: Dr. Walsh is an expert in international security at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has testified before the United States Senate on the Iran nuclear agreement.
