Last week the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists published an article by John Isaacs and yours truly on the politics of the START follow-on process. Our conclusion:
In short, there are no givens in politics or the Senate. However, portents are excellent for a completed treaty later this year and a Senate vote shortly thereafter.
