The North’s latest missile launch likely sends the message that the U.S. may be running out of time to offer North Korea some kind of concession, said Abigail Stowe-Thurston, program coordinator for the Washington-based Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation.
“An ‘all-for-all’ deal is not what’s on the table, so the United States needs to show some flexibility in its negotiating position,” said Ms. Stowe-Thurston. “I expect we may continue to see provocations like this until that happens.” Read more
