Exploring Russia’s nuclear weapon stockpiles and what led to the invasion of Ukraine

Senior Policy Director John Erath appeared on Wisconsin Public Radio’s Morning Show, discussing Russia’s latest attack and capture of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station and other nuclear implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“It’s a very serious thing any time you have explosions going off in the area of a nuclear power station…the important thing to keep in mind is that a nuclear power station is very big…it’s impossible to miss, so if there’s fighting going on in the neighborhood, it is done intentionally, with the intent of in some way attacking, capturing or causing damage to that nuclear power plant. That can be potentially very dangerous,” said Erath. Listen
