The 2018 Interagency Radiation Protection and Security Task Force Report emphasizes importance of continued support for alternative technology and stringent security measures to prevent nuclear terrorism. The Report is the fourth produced for Congress in compliance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. The report found agencies have followed 2014 recommendation to increase cyber-security measures at facilities with Category I and Category II sources. The Task Force will continue to focus on end-of-life management for risk, support for alternative technologies and coordinating strategies to confront potential cyber-security threats.
